11 Ways NW Explorations is going GREEN
1. Last year we made donations to offset 700,000 lbs. of CO2 and will continue to offset 50,000 lbs. of CO2 for every boat sale made in the year to come. That's two years worth of boating for most of our customers!
2. We are moving towards paperless communications. We are proud new customers of Emma Email Marketing. Just by becoming new clients of Emma we have helped the environment! Emma has teamed up with the reforestation non-profit Plant-It 2020 to plant five trees for every new customer. Click here to be added to our e-mail list.
3. We use all environmentally friendly cleaning products.
4. We use fragrance-free, phosphate-free hand and body soap on all of our charter boats. We buy the soap in bulk and use re-fillable containers.
5. We use phosphate free soaps on the lead vessel on guided flotillas.
6. We recycle office and computer paper, cardboard, etc.
7. We use scrap paper for informal notes to ourselves and others.
8. We print and copy on both sides of paper whenever possible.
9. We use smaller paper for smaller memos.
10. We re-use file folders.
11. We use dishes, glassware and coffee cups instead of disposable dishes and cups.
